What is it?

  • Pre-purchased block of time
  • Approximately 60/40 split or technical and client support
  • Proactive and reactive support

Whether your site is one page or 100, it is a complex system of hardware and software. Like any computer running 24/7, no matter how well it is set up it will break down and it will need support. And so will your staff in running and growing your website.

We also keep up with and apply best security practices and best practices in such areas as backups and site performance, SEO performance tweaks and many other small but important aspects of your site.


 

How does it work?

  • We estimate your needs for the upcoming year and arrive at an average monthly usage.
  • You purchase a pool of hours which can be used for a variety of needs proactive and reactive to keep things running smoothly, handle emergencies, and get your questions answers.
  • Smaller sites typically require 1-2 hours per month and larger sites 3-4 or more hours per month.
  • The plan lasts until the time pool runs out or 365 days pass. If it runs out early, we renew for a new cycle and adjust the time pool as needed.

System Maintenance & Upgrades / Emergency Response

  • Ongoing technical maintenance & support for your site’s software, server and any installed subsystems to maintain optimal functionality and speed of your site.
  • Ongoing security updates and implementation of new best practices.
  • Priority attention and response in emergencies (hacking, server failure, DOS attack, etc.). In extreme cases time for this may exceed plan (see Notes & Limitations below).

Live Support for Content Updates, Training Support & Site Consulting

  • Email or phone support when you are updating content.
  • Training or retraining on content update techniques.
  • Consultation via email or phone on any aspect of site operation, evolution, visibility, etc.
  • Consultation via email or phone on concepts and information regarding website’s interrelations and connections with search engines, listing services, analytics, social media, email systems, various devices.

Notes & Limitations

  1. In general time is split 60/40 between System Maintenance and Client Support work. Split may vary from month to month. We discuss and determine projected needs prior to building and pricing your package.
  2. Nobody can guarantee a site is 100% hack-proof.  The nature of software and internet technology is that new ways to gain access to servers are always being developed. We can help greatly minimize the chances of getting hacked, and can place systems such as proper backups in place to help restore your site should it become hacked, but this plan does not cover time doing do beyond the amount purchased, nor carry any type of warranty for business losses of any type related to site downtime due to malicious outside attacks.
  3. Certain emergency situations beyond our control may require amounts of troubleshooting and repairs beyond the Plan time. Examples may be software bugs, attacks/hackings, 3rd party integration issues, etc. If it is projected that the amount of time needed will use up/exceed remaining Plan time, you will have the option to either add to the Plan at a discount or cover the additional time hourly.
